Understanding and Overcoming Our Creativity Crisis

For decades politicians and pundits have lamented the fact  that the United States has been losing its creative edge. Creativity is the vital first step in the overall process of social innovation.  We need new systematic ways to develop and validate ideas and innovations  that address the urgent social problems society faces.  This article summarizes two stories from the July 19, 2010 edition of Newsweek magazine.
